Can you fish volatile life

Comment by wowgeek Best place to farm volatile life: Deepholm. I start from the temple and go around Aeonaxx's path until i reach the northwestern end. There i abruptly keep going until i hit the place that gives has those big mushromms that u need to explode for a quest. There are 10 billion herbs there and all over deepholm. If you go at it, u can farm up to volatile life an hour i find that generally i get about So far, i have not seen Aeonaxx, but still, it is pretty good way to farm him without being completely camping.

Comment by squiretoad Apparently every single entry above except maybe Living Vine is incorrect. If you aren't an herbalist, you'll not get Volatile Life from any of these entries. Read the comments for each of the items and you'll see what I mean. Any way to correct this totally misleading page?

I just went up there looking and after you kill the Stalker you can't loot it, so we can cross that one off the list too. I think someone put them in there as a joke because they're both kind of obscure mobs and they're sitting back laughing at those of us who go trying to farm them for Volatile Life.

Not funny, man! Comment by swede Volatile life is'nt able to be looted off of Mac Toads as stated. They are a level 1 critter and unlootable. Comment by Trolled To the previous comments regarding the "Dropped by" tab of this page: The wowhead client, in one technical way or another, reads the drop as the items received with the npc clicked. If, for example, a mac toad was killed and still selected while a volatile life was looted from a plant, it would count as a drop from the mac toad.

The misleading drop page isn't a matter of user input trying to mislead you, but instead just an unfortunate bug in the way that drops are tracked. In the cases where there's several loots of the item shown Riverbed crocolisk, for example , it's simply a matter of that monster spawning on or near an herb that gives the volatile life. When a person with the client kills the mob to loot the herb, it's not uncommon that the mob is selected when the loot appears and then the incorrect data is displayed.

Comment by When I checked the droprate on volatile life from these Fungal Bemoths i was surprised. Comment by old news, but i go uldum farm whiptail till i get Vlifes at that point i have stacks or whiptail..

Comment by bob72 So the only use for these is to get an alchemist to trasmute them into something more useful? Comment by Sometimes while skinning in Vashj'ir i got the "Strange Bloated Stomach" and a couple of them had the vol life in them. Comment by elionor i wish they would update their tracking system so there would not be so much crappy info when i saw that i could get volatile life of npcs i was like "yay" then read the comments and was like "bummer" and it is really annoying to go on a wild goose chase because of faulty cords and its lucky if one of comments says something but when you have to figure out for your self its even more annoying.

Comment by Synchant I find this easy to farm in Uldum. Whiptails gives alot Comment by Omac I just picked 10 Whiptail nodes in Uldum and there wasn't a single Volatile Life nor any other additional item such as lifegiving seeds - there was just Whiptail, and that was it. But Cinderbloom and Stormvine on Hyjal are both still dropping them volatile life and lifegiving seeds , although I haven't picked enough to check the drop rates.

It dropped often from Cinderbloom and Stormvine, but not at all from Azshara's Veil. Comment by Farmed for about 3 hours a couple of days ago in Uldum Gathered: X Whiptail and X Volatile Life Sold them all for a very decent price and there are plenty of nodes which quickly respawn. Comment by myrkat Unfortunately, this is the only elemental type that cannot be placed in an Engineer's Toolbox.

Makes it tough for those of us who like things Neat and organized. Curse you blizz! As a non herbalist, or even as one, this seems really fast. Run in, kill her, run out reset instance and repeat. At the time of typing, i've done this for 5 minutes perhaps less and netted over 20 air and 20 life. The 10 run limit will come up quick, but still. The best place to farm Volatile Fire without fishing is in Mt.

Hyjal, the Flame Ascendents east of the Sulfuron Spire spawn quickly and have a reasonable drop rate of Volatile Fire. If you bring a lot of AoE and some good gear you can farm a lot of fires here in a short amount of time.

There are Unbound Emberfiends that patrol around north west of Thundermar. These have a low drop rate of Volatile Fire but are the best available. If you farm for a long time you will have a consistent amount of Volatile Fires going into your inventory. Tip : Have you ever wondered how players have so many level 85s or how they can level an 85 so quickly? I use and strongy recommend Zygor's in-game leveling addon which will enable you to level in 5 days of played time.

You can find a free version of it here. Hyjal have low drop rates not worth the time. From experience the best place to farm Volatile Fires without fishing is from which have a decent drop rate and they usually drop 3 at a time. They are found in the Ashen Fields through little Firelands portal in Hyjal. Hope this helps. Before the first word in the links should have been what it says when you hover over it.

Generally speaking, the pools provide 1 or 2 Volatile Fire per catch, with 5 or 6 catches per pool. You can easily get your hands on Fire, with no fighting in less than 5 minutes. Mining the dead mobs from both of these places can also provide bonus Volatile Earth. Sadly, Volatile Life is really only obtainable from the Herbalism profession. Those of us that are not Herbalists, will not be able to farm these with any ease. All of the Cataclysm zones offer nodes to farm and each node provides a high rate of volatile farming.

Supply is usually higher than the demand, so the AH prices are typically pretty low. You can occasionally obtain Volatile Life from killing random mobs, or other random drops, but there is no guaranteed constant drop. Besides the listed farming locations, an Alchemist can use the Transmute: Living Elements to make other Volatile Life into other Volatiles. The transmute takes 15 Volatile Life, and upon use will provide Random Volatiles.

Remember, with any farming to always obtain the highest level flying you have available. The more efficient you can be with your time, the more mobs you kill, the more drops you get.
