Jesus what makes you beautiful

Mark 'Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. I especially liked rock, which soothed my mind.

I saved enough babysitting money and lawn mowing money to buy the record both in English and Spanish and memorized every song. My three daughters and I wanted to go. It was my very first in person concert and I was internally terrified.

We snuck in a folded-up poster board sign and repented and sat with 15, high pitch screaming youth. As I put this into a Christian perspective, can you imagine what Jesus went through? But God only judges the heart.

Many women today are surrounded by magazine images, TV actresses, and movie stars who seem to meet the cultural norms of beauty—or at least this is what certain media outlets tell us. When we think of beauty are we thinking of more than a specific hairstyle, wardrobe choice, or makeup trend?

When we meet new people do we find ourselves subconsciously assessing them based on standards we hold ourselves to? God designed us with the capacity for different features and He called it very good. Believers in Jesus Christ are part of one family; we are all adopted as sons and daughters—heirs to the one true King.

And that family has no need to compare outward appearances for we are not connected by how we look but by the blood of Jesus Christ. Consider what it means for you, as a unique image bearer of God, to creatively express your personhood and take joy in it. And if that means cutting off all your hair, go for it. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.

I thank you, High God-you're breathtaking! Body and soul, I am marvelously made! I worship in adoration-what a creation!

You know me inside and out, you know every bone in my body; You know exactly how I was made, bit by bit, how I was sculpted from nothing into something. Your thoughts towards me-how rare, how beautiful!

God, I'll never comprehend them! I couldn't even begin to count them- any more than I could count the sand of the sea Psalm ; When God looks at you, He sees beauty because He handcrafted you from conception. All the unique features and intricate facets of your being are the result of God's artistic endeavor. And because we are a direct production of the Potter's hand, we are in His loving thoughts more than billion times a day!

Maybe not by the world's petty, small minded, one dimensional, superficial and super facial standards - but we are defined as beautiful because we reflect the image of the Beautiful One who created us. And when you download this truth into the core of your self-perception, everything changes. And your life can start moving in a different direction, knowing that God is making you more beautiful each day in eternal ways.

Here's the way C. Lewis describes this process:. Imagine yourself as a living house. God comes in to rebuild that house. At first, perhaps, you can understand what He is doing.
